Each season in fashion new trends will emerge and often, these trends are a basic rule of thumb. For example, we always know that florals and prints in bright colours are going to be a sure fire way of keeping up your fashion credentials during the summer months. So isn't it always interesting to do something a little against the grain?
Now, I'm not suggesting minimalist dressing during August is something none of us have experience before. But, generally speaking, it tends to be something saved for the colder times of year and the main focus at the moment seems to be the brighter and crazier, the better.
So, I found the vast amount of time I spent going through the Whistles website with a fine tooth comb pleasantly refreshing. There it was, an array of simple tees, shirt dresses and tailored blazers in simple colours of navys, greys and nudes. Not a crazy colour or pattern in sight. And the best part is, it's all so easy and so accessible. Everything can be so easily worn with everything else, it all works together so well that I sat there thinking, 'how on earth am I going to restrain myself from buying it all?' As of yet I've not come up with an answer.
